God's Love -The Gift

The Bible tells us that "God is Love" (1 John 4:8). But how can we even begin to understand that truth? There are many passages in the Bible that give us God's definition of love. The most well known verse is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." So one way God defines love is in the act of giving. However, what God gave (or should we say, "who" God gave) was not a mere gift-wrapped present; God sacrificed His only Son so that we, who put our faith in His Son, will not spend eternity separated from Him. This is an amazing love, because we are the ones who choose to be separated from God through our own sin, yet it's God who mends the separation through His intense personal sacrifice, and all we have to do is accept His gift.

God is Love, and His love is very different from human love. God's love is unconditional, and it's not based on feelings or emotions. He doesn't love us because we're lovable or because we make Him feel good; He loves us because He is love. He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son (who also willingly died for us) to restore that relationship.

My Name

Wondering why is I having this name? It has to go back to my childhood time….. Let’s travel back to the past!

Although time flash by, but some of the scenes still stored in my mind. I’m still remembered in my standard six (year 2000), I and my friends have a hobby. Know what the hobby is? Is to write letter!! Haha ~ We like to write letter to our best friends during school holidays. And it’s really happy to received letter and reply! And since that time, I don’t really remember in what situation, we all (few of us) decided to give ourselves an English name. So, each time when we write the letter, we will put our ‘new’ name!!! When think back of it…its really childish…hahaha…And my ‘new’ name was…CHRISTINE~

I really don’t know why am I choose that name but at that moment, I really like it. The name was suddenly pop up into my mind when I’m thinking about what name shall use.  I thought it was a special name and it shouldn’t have much people used the same name. But I’m wrong…I begun to realize, a lot of people are using the same name as I…Yes a bit disappointed, but I would not like to change it again…so that was the story…story end~

Christine

It has a ‘Christ’ within it…so do my heart for now…Christ lives within me.

It was His plans on me. He found me and He had chosen me to become His children. Here, I would like to praise my Lord and give thanks to Him…

I give thanks to my Lord because He…
-found me and saved me
-clean all my sins
-let me become the children of God
-is my Savior and my Redeemer
-love me more than anyone’s love on me in this world
-my shelter to cry out when I’m helpless
- uphold me and strengthen me
-comfort me and walk with me
-be my guider and I’m your follower

My faith is always floating…like a boat. When the weather is good, I rely on myself. But when storm is coming, I only seek for your shelter!

I shall stand firm in you my Lord! For things within the world is not eternal but only you…can give us the eternity! Amen!

Why Jesus?

Jesus loves you! He desires to have a relationship with you and to give a life full of joy and purpose.

REASON 1: YOU HAVE A PAST

You cant go back but He can. The Bible says, 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.' (Hebrew 13:8). He can walk into those places of sins and failure, wipe the slate clean and give u a new beginning.

REASON 2: YOU NEED A FRIEND

Jesus knows the worst about you, yet he believes the best. why? Because He sees you not as you are but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend!

REASON 3: HE HOLDS THE FUTURE

Who else are you going to trust? In His hand you are safe and secure: today, tomorrow and for eternity. His Word says 'For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days, when you pray I will listen' (Jeremiah 29:11-13 TLB).

Always There

When I'm less than I should be
When I just can't face the day
When darkness falls around me
And I just can't find my way
When my eyes don't clearly see
And I stumble through it all
You I lean upon, you keep me strong
And you rise me when I fall

You are there when I most need you
You are there so constantly
You come shining through, you always do
You are always there for me

When life brings me to my knees
When my back's against the wall
You are standing there right with me
Just to keep me standing tall
Though a burden I may be
You don't weary, you don't rest
You are reaching out to carry me
And I know I'm heaven-bless

'Examine yourselves...' 2 Corinthians 13:5

If you are serious about changing:

1) The first person you must know is yourself. Human nature seems to endow us with the ability to size up everybody-except ourselves. If you're not comfortable with yourself, you won't be comfortable with others. And if you don't believe in yourself, your lack of self-worth will undermine you in life. One marriage counsellor says, 'The most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself. You've got to be your own best friend first.' But how can you be best friends with someone you don't know, like, or respect? That's why it's important to discover what God's called you to be, then work at becoming that person. And you won't get there overnight; it's a process-one that requires a mindset of honesty, frequent repentance and constant self-correction. But if you commit yourself to it God will help you.

2) The first person you must work on is yourself. Dr. Samuel Johnson said, 'He who has so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition, will waste his life in fruitless efforts, and multiply the grief which he purposes to remove.' The Bible says, 'Examine yourselves.' Only as we examine ourselves before God do we discover where our true battles lie. Then we've a choice. We can be like the man who visited his doctor and found out he'd serious health issues. When the doctor showed him his x-rays and suggested surgery, the man asked, 'Okay, but how much would you charge just to touch up the x-rays?' Or, you can decide to change!
